the long awaited extensions to the sky train route are finally underway.
New condominiums, housing estates, shopping
malls and office towers are 'under construction' with tower cranes again
dotting the Bangkok Skyline.
Looking out of my new office window here
in Jomtien Beach near Pattaya I have an enviable view of the palm trees
at the edge of the beach. This view is set to change when they start to
build a twenty seven story condo between my window and the beach. Once
permission is finally granted the construction contractors will move in
to begin work to excavate the foundations. When this Happens, well it
will be time for me to look for a new office.
